Easter, Spring

Easter

Happy Easter everyone!

IMG_0510I have been wanting to do a purple tablescape for awhile and Easter seemed the perfect time to try it!  The purple candies add a nice touch in a green carnival glass bowl.

Love the green accents with the purple color!

IMG_0508

These beautiful purple flowers were just a dollar and made the table really look like spring even though it was cold and rainy outside!

This picture shows the flaws on this tablescape – which can happen sometimes!  My one green candle is a little bent, but I loved the spring color it brought to the table!  My tablecloth ended up quite wrinkled, but we can call it vintage, right?  Hope you enjoyed your Easter holiday even though we all couldn’t  be together!

Spring

Spring has Sprung

IMG_0382

This bright and cheery table (minus the spoon askew) reminds me that even though we had snow yesterday, Spring is coming!  The eggs remind of robin’s eggs which will soon hatch, and Easter eggs which is right around the corner!

IMG_0380

Love the little touches in this tablescape of flower table scatter and butterflies on the glasses, and, of course, the daisies!  They brighten the whole room!

IMG_0379

A close up of the daisies.  I love fresh flowers on a table and these are the finishing touch to this tablescape!

Another view with the sun shining in on the table.  We actually do occasionally have sun around here.  It’s just few and far between, so on the days we have it, I open the shades and let it pour in!

St. Patrick's Day

Love the greens in this table with the white daisies as an accent!

IMG_0352

The plates on top are called Pastoral by Taylor, Smith and Taylor.  Love the farming scenes on them!

IMG_0353

The daisies with their green/yellow centers are the perfect compliment to the greens on the table!  And they stayed fresh for so long!

Here is a bird’s eye view of the table – very simple, but very pretty!

Valentine's Day

Valentines Day Tablescape

The roses in the center of this tablescape are finishing touch that makes this beautiful tablescape!

Vday Tablescape 3

Here is another centerpiece I love for Valentines Day!  The red candles can set a beautiful atmosphere for dinner.

Vday Tablescape 1

Here is another look at the table with candles as a centerpiece.  But I also love the roses in the napkin rings which add a nice touch.

Vday Tablescape 2

These beautiful red posey plates were my grandmother’s and I love that I can use them in this setting! Although some of the gold edging has worn away, they still look beautiful! They came from Strawbridge & Clothier, a popular Philadelphia department store.  My Philly friends will remember it!

Christmas

Christmas in January

This is my Red Christmas Truck tablescape and I love it!  The plates and soup bowl go together in theme and colors.  The rustic look is completed by the red truck centerpiece.

Here’s a close up of the red truck plate.  It is one of my favorite Christmas scenes!

IMG_0118

Here’s the whole place setting with the bowl and plaid napkins.  The old fashioned wooden ski poles on the napkin ring add to the scene on the truck and snowman dinnerware.

Here is the whole tablescape.  I love the reds on this table along with the Christmas red truck centerpiece!  One of my favorite Christmas decorations!
