Independence Day

Independence Day Tablescape

This tablescape is a tribute to our July 4th celebrations! It is full of the patriotic colors we love and a little bit of whimsy for fun!

This table setting has red, white and blue galore! From the red napkins encircled by a blue star to an American flag silverware holder. The centerpiece includes little white lanterns with flags with table scatter to create some whimsy.

American Flag silverware holders

Here’s a close up of the American flag silverware holders. I’m sure there is an official name for them, but just being practical! The little stars that hold them together are just fasteners pushed through the material. The flags are 25 cent flags from the dollar store! I love how these turned out!

Patriotic Lanterns

Here is a close up of the little lanterns and table scatter. I love the color the table scatter adds to the white tablecloth, and the lanterns are just a cute touch with the flags pushed in.

Whole table view

Here is the whole table again from an angle. I love how festive it is! Feel free to share your tablescapes with me and enjoy your 4th of July parties and celebrations!

Cinco de Mayo

Cinco de Mayo

Cinco 1The vibrant colors of Cinco de Mayo brighten this tablescape.  It is my first attempt at Cinco de Mayo and I like how it came out.

Cinco 2

The table settings include bright napkins and plates of different colors to stick with the theme of a fiesta party.

Cinco 3

This whimsical little pinata was so adorable that I had to include it on the table!

Cinco 5

You can’t have a Cinco de Mayo table without a sombrero!  Since the stores were all sold out, I had to make my own!

Fall Tablescape

This sneak peak gives the colors that this tablescape will have to bring us into Fall.

Here is an overview of the table and I love how the fall colors pop!

Here is the place setting with the embroidered napkins which add an elegant touch!

These fun fall water glasses came from the Dollar Store and complete the table setting so well!

Love this close up of the flowers!  They are so beautiful!

Father's Day

Father’s Day

This Father’s Day  Tablescape has a masculine feel to it to honor fathers.

For my husband, my son cooked him an Asian meal, so we put soy bowls and chopsticks in this tablescape for him.

The napkin ties were a creative manly addition to the tablescape, and the chop sticks were a gift from my mother-in-law.

“Down the Shore”

Whenever June rolls around, my thoughts turn to “going down to the shore.”  It has been a family tradition to go on vacation to the Jersey shore.  I grew up going there every summer and the sights and sounds of the shore will always thrill me!

Sea Shells Tablescape

This tablescape is my homage to the shore.  The seashell candle holders and the large shell candle holder add the beachy feel to the scene.  The small conch shell is real and found by my son when he was young on the beach!

Sea Shells Tablescape 2

This table setting is simplistic with no layers (and I forgot a spoon!  oops!), but it fits with how we would do dinners at the shore.  Simple and delicious!

Have to show off these little gems! They are mini-grills which remind me of grilling out down by the beach, or in the backyard.  They are made with chocolate candies, Mike n Ike candies and black icing.

Memorial Day

Memorial Day

A bird’s eye view of our patriotic table! Love all of the red, white and blue!

Another view of the full table.  The colors just pop on this white tablecloth which I sewed to fit the table.

The little flags add a nice patriotic touch to the place setting, and the plates remind of picnics out at a park near our house which was a Revolutionary War Park commemorating the soldiers who fought for our freedom

The little ball centerpiece is made of wood shavings and is a cute piece of art to complete the table!

Mother's Day

Mother’s Day 2020

IMG_0648Happy Mother’s Day to my mom!  This table is in honor of her.  She always loved an elegant table.  I went with traditional pink and lace with antique plates and dessert cups.

There is nothing like fresh flowers to make a tablescape beautiful!  These were given to me on Mother’s Day from a special girl whom we have grown to love quite a lot!

The light coming in through the window really made the dishes look bright!

Here is a close up of the plate setting.  The chargers fit with the green depression glass plates and pink depression glass berry bowl and dessert cup.  These were my mother’s and grandmother’s and so they make this Mother’s Day tablescape even better!

The sherbet glasses are depression glass blush pink and the berry bowl is Anchor Hocking with a diamond optic design in the bottom.  The green plates are also Anchor Hocking and the beaded plates are Candlewick.  I loved mixing and matching the dishes for this beautiful look!
