Fall

Thanksgiving Around the Corner

Nov 13-2

As the leaves are almost gone and we had our first few flurries, this table pays homage to all things fall!  From the falling leaves plate to the woodland creatures, the beautiful colors of fall come out in this setting!

Nov 13-3

I love this centerpiece which has fall leaves and acorns that show up from the candles lit behind them.

Nov 13-5

I love these little woodland creatures!  I’ve used the squirrel before and love his whimsical look and soft tail!

Nov 13-4

In a nod to next week’s Thanksgiving Day, our little turkey made its debut! I love this little guys realistic feathers and coloring!

Please share your tablescapes with us at joshumak90@gmail.com!  We would love to post some or set up a link to your site!

November Tablescape

Welcome to November!  Our first week tablescape combines the colors of Fall with yams, potatoes, gourds, and apples.

The leaf water glasses add a nice touch to the table setting.

Love these napkins!  They were at Pier One for $.38! They look gorgeous with the rust napkins that I also got on sale there and some glam to the table setting.

Halloween

Halloween – Candy Corn

IMG_4241

Candy Corn is a favorite Halloween candy, so we used the colors to make our tablescape this week!

IMG_4240

Candy corn colors inspire our table setting with orange and yellow plates.  The black plates anchor the setting along with orange napkins and black napkin rings.

The candy bowl in the center is filled to the brim with the best part of Halloween!  Your guests can pick a little or a lot!

Indian Corn Tablescape

IMG_4221

Reusing some of our elements from last week, our tablescape shows the colors of Indian corn which is a great fall icon.

IMG_4222

The centerpiece is Indian corn in a crate that says Farmer’s Market.  I love the Farmer’s Market in our town where I bought the Indian corn!  They have such a nice variety of vegetables, fruits, legumes and baked goods to choose from!

IMG_4223

These corn on the cob holders fit the theme and so I used them for decoration! (Just be careful to put them out of the reach of little hands!) But for an adult table, they make a nice addition.

IMG_4225

The table setting shows the colors of the Indian corn as well as the fall colors.  We layered a brown charger with bronze plates, red salad plates and dark yellow bowls. I love how the colors complement each other!

As usual feel free to send me your tablescapes and we will post them!  If anyone local needs help decorating their table for the holidays, contact me and we will set up a time to meet!

Happy Fall!

Pumpkins

Fall Tablescape – Pumpkins * Repost

This was last week’s post that didn’t make it online.  Enjoy!

IMG_4197

Our Tablescape Tuesday this week is full of pumpkins!  ‘Tis the season! The weather has finally changed and so I felt like pumpkins would fit this weeks tablescape.

IMG_4198

This look is grounded by a beautiful fall deep orange tablecloth and an ivory lace runner with pumpkins and fall leaves woven throughout.  The browns of the pumpkin stem, the napkins and the chargers add a nice accent touch.

IMG_4199

A close up of the napkins and rings.  Quilting Fat Quarters to the rescue again!  Pier One did not have any brown napkins at all – not even on sale!  So, cloth napkins can be made from fat quarters and they look just as beautiful!

Pumpkin soup tureens add such a nice touch to the place setting and make me want vegetable soup!! Soon it will be cold enough to have soup again for lunch!

These adorable salt and pepper shakes are the final touch that I love on this table!
