Whenever June rolls around, my thoughts turn to “going down to the shore.” It has been a family tradition to go on vacation to the Jersey shore. I grew up going there every summer and the sights and sounds of the shore will always thrill me!
This tablescape is my homage to the shore. The seashell candle holders and the large shell candle holder add the beachy feel to the scene. The small conch shell is real and found by my son when he was young on the beach!
This table setting is simplistic with no layers (and I forgot a spoon! oops!), but it fits with how we would do dinners at the shore. Simple and delicious!
Have to show off these little gems! They are mini-grills which remind me of grilling out down by the beach, or in the backyard. They are made with chocolate candies, Mike n Ike candies and black icing.
