Creating beautiful tablescapes for your family or guests!

A jack of all trades and master of a few, I love to dabble in decorating. Teacher by trade; crafter by hobby, I enjoy creating and making beautiful scenes on a budget.
This light and bright Easter tablescape combined styles of depression era glass in both green and clear. There are Fostoria sherbet glasses with Candlewick candle holders. I love the greens and whites with a touch of pink coming through the lace tablecloth and in the table scatter.
This Valentine’s tablescape was a combination of old and new. It has my mother’s water glasses, my grandmother’s dishes, and some antique Ruby dessert cups!
Table setting
This table setting is a combination of old and new. The charger came from Hobby Lobby, the plates were my grandmother’s that she bought from Strawbridge and Clothier (those of you who are from the Philadelphia area will remember that store.) The Ruby dessert cups I picked up at a local antique store. The candy bowls are made from peppermints melted into bowls for a touch of whimsy, and have red M & M’s in them.
View of the opposite end of the table
This view of the table from the other end shows a clearer view of the candy dishes with M&M’s. The napkin rings are actually shower curtain rings upcycled to napkin rings! The taper candles have a little sheen to them which add an elegance to the table.
Bird’s eye view of the table
This view of the table shows the combinations of red and white which celebrate Valentine’s Day colors and themes!
The leaves here are just finished falling, so I thought they would be a nice touch to add to this tablescape.
Place setting with a beautiful copper gilded charger.
The plates are from Hobby Lobby and are on a beautiful charger from Target. The napkins are doubled up with a plaid from Walmart and a nutmeg from World Market. I love plaid during this time of year and it was a bargain find to get these nutmeg ones to match my plaid!
Centerpiece with real leaves and table scatter
The centerpiece has these beautiful red/brown/caramel candles with real pressed leaves and table scatter leaves as well.
We are back to school as crazy as this year has been, this is still one of my favorite tablescapes!
Complete with pencils and chalk boards! The little red school house in the centerpiece is a remembrance of the good ‘ole days!Apples make this centerpiece complete as a proverbial part of school nostalgiaThese old books are from a collection I have of vintage books including a Grammar book from the 1800’s
